It’s a crazy new world in Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2. The Zombies have taken over Suburbia and for the first time in franchise history, plants are on the attack. Keep your brains safe with this vital information below:

When and what platforms?

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will launch simultaneously on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in the Autumn of 2016.

Can I transfer characters?

Yes, for up to a year post-launch, we will be giving all players of the original Garden Warfare the ability to transfer almost all the characters they have unlocked into Garden Warfare 2 right from launch. The only exception being the four promotional characters: Berry Shooter, Citrus Cactus, Chester Chomper and Dr. Chester.

Will there be free updates?

With Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2, when you invest time in our game, we will invest in you. The team is committed to free post launch updates to ensure Zomburbia stays fresh and action packed.

What are the multiplayer options?

There is up to 24-player online multiplayer and up to 4-player online co-op. Or if you prefer to play with friends locally, you can play with or against a friend in split screen across every mode on Xbox One and PS4. That’s right – from the comfort of your own couch you and a friend can enjoy every mode of the game in split screen against AI, and even play on opposing sides. You will be able to play co-operatively with a friend online, but it will not be split screen.

Can I play on my own?

For the first time, we’re introducing a unique solo play experience where you can play every single game mode either by yourself against AI, or with the help of a friend in local split screen. We’ll have more details on what else you can expect from solo play very soon!  

Will I need Xbox Live Gold or PS+ to play the game?

You will not need Xbox Live Gold or PS+ to play the game. All local play features (solo play and local split screen), can be experienced with an internet connection only. If you want to jump online to play with friends you will require Xbox Live Gold or PS+.

Can I create private matches?

Yes! You can create locally hosted, online private matches with up to 4 players and set your own rules to play with or against friends online to get ultra competitive or just for crazy fun.

Has the progression system changed?

We’ve overhauled our progression system, allowing you to explore and play with each of the 100+ character variants and earn XP along the way.

Will there be a beta?
